Navigo Découverte card

The Navigo Découverte Card is a smart card on which you can store daily, weekly, and monthly passes. The card is nominative and available to everyone. If you want a weekly or monthly pass and aren't a resident in Île-de-France, this is the card for you!

What fares can be placed onto a Navigo Découverte card?

How to get it and how much does it cost?

Go to an information booth in any métro/RER station to buy a new card. The card itself costs 5 euros which is non-refundable and the cost of the pass you wish to load onto it (see above). You'll also need a 3.5 x 4.1 cm photo of your uncovered face.

How to use it?

Tap you Navigo Découverte card on the purple (or blue) card reader when entering a station or when boarding a bus or tramway. You'll need to tap again when you transfer to/from the RER or when you exit the RER. You do not need to tap your card to exit the métro.

To reload your card, go to a ticket machine in a métro/RER/tramway station or use the Bonjour RATP mobile app.
