Orly Airport by Train

Cost: 12,10

Travel time: 50 min.

Ticket Price

The total cost of a journey from Orly Airport to any station in Paris is 12,10. The airport shuttle train costs 9,30* and the RER B suburban train costs 2,80 and you can get a combined ticket, which is one ticket which includes both the RER B train and the shuttle. If you are using a travel pass, you will only need to purchase an Orlyval ticket for the Orlyval shuttle and your travel pass will cover the RER B train. Additionally, the Paris Visite ticket covers both the RER B and the Orlyval shuttle.

If you are using one of the following travel passes, you will only need an Orlyval shuttle ticket:

If you are using the Paris Visite ticket (zones 1-5) you do not need to purchase any additional ticket as your Paris Visite ticket will cover your entire journey from the airport to Paris.

Let's Go

Follow signs to the Orlyval shuttle in the airport. Once you get there, you can purchase the necessary tickets/passes for your journey (see ticket price above for details). Remember to keep your ticket/card with you at all times as proof of payment. It takes about 8 minutes to get to Antony where you can transfer to the train to Paris.

Once you get to Antony, you can now transfer to the RER B train to Paris. The departure boards in the station and on the platform tell you on what platform and in how much time the next train leaves. Trains leave about every 10 minutes.

Finishing Your Trip

The RER B train makes several stops inside Paris where you can transfer to the métro and other RER lines. The ticket you used for the RER lets you transfer to the métro & other RER lines at no additional cost, however transfers to the bus or tramway are not possible with the same ticket. On the other hand if you are using a travel pass, you can make as many transfers as you like because you have unlimited rides.

* I know that the price to ride the shuttle is ridiculously expensive for such a short trip. I think this is because the airport shuttle is privately owned. This is also why you cannot use daily/weekly/monthly passes on the shuttle.
